Marvel is foolish to not bring the street-levels guys into the movies. The actors are brilliant and the characters are exceedingly well developed.

I’d love to see Luke Cage get some screen time, but Danny Rand was whiny, impulsive, and made almost zero good decisions. Murdock sits somewhere between the two.

But it’s not just Marvel, it’s also Netflix, and other studios. If these characters make more than a cameo in a film, then they’ll become too expensive for episodes. Though with Kevin Spacey gone Netflix might have some more money available...

Last 2 Punisher films were entertaining. But as a Punisher fan I’d really like to see a true portrail of the character. That being said the story lines of comic book characters are so long that it’s hard to pull off in a single movie. That’s part of the reason I enjoy Netflix’ s Punsher, because there was time to develop the whole plot.

Danny grew exponentially between IF season 1 and The Defenders. I think he’ll continue to do so for season 2. What a lot of people aren’t getting is he’s still in the journey to really becoming Iron Fist.

I tried to force myself to like Iron Fist. I really did. The concept is great, but the Danny Rand character... My problem isn’t even with the actor, but the way the director makes Danny Rand behave like a little whiny adolescent asshole who’s easily triggered is ANNOYING AS SHIT.
Luke Cage is great though.

Pretty much exactly this

Some of the netflix shows have been better than others, I thought Luke Cage had some pacing issues and IF was the one that I struggled the most to get through. Punisher and JJ were brilliant while DD was somewhere in a distant third.
I won’t comment too much on defenders but it was good and I hope they keep going with the character development, especially IF.

I’m surprised that DD was a distant third for you. I’d consider it to be top-two, competing with Punisher. While I thought JJ told a good story, I wasn’t quite as impressed as most people were with it.
That being said, I also liked IF a lot more than most people did.

Now that I think about it, DD suffered from me already being much more familiar with the story and I wasn’t amazed by the effects and the fight choreography as the Mrs. and I watch all the marvel stuff on the CW.

DD is probably the closest facsimile to the Arrowverse.
